it all gelled in 2004 when owner danielle cohen tapped her creativity and insight of the fashion industry (fostered by her journalism career), brainstormed with her business savvy husband, jason, and marketing guru brother-in-law, jeffrey, and created the ideal gift company. danielle and jason's infant daughter, rachel, whose charismatic personality earned the little diva a slew of nicknames -- from "chatterbox" for her constant babbling to "smarty pants" for her miraculous feats and "twinkle toes" for her dainty gait to "sun goddess" for her love of the beach -- inspired the hip nickname/bold icon pairings now recognized as clothesline candy's signature style.
among danielle's many joys as mom to a princess is filling and replenishing rachel's closet; in doing so, danielle noticed a hole in the upscale children's clothing market -- embroidered apparel. trendy t-shirts typically are screen-printed, which fade due to washing and wear. providing extraordinary value, style and durability, clothesline candy's exceptional embroidery accompanies the company's incredibly novel method of packaging to truly set its products apart.
